These could fit under General, but they occurred to me as at least as interesting as Graphics (Video) and Sound. (I'd suggest Graphics instead of Video and Sound instead of Audio simply because I always thought GS stood for Graphics and Sound) and Video made me think of, well, video in the quickly moving pictures sense.

In addition to the sections already set up, it may be good to have one for interfacing with the outside world, either via built-in ports or writing code to communicate with a card. This seemed to be a hot topic at recent KFests (rocket demo, measuring gravity, MP3 player controller among others).

Perhaps:
- Networking - Discuss writing routines for networking via AppleTalk, TCP/IP, or other protocols.
- I/O - Discuss writing "bare metal" routines for interfacing with the outside world
{I'm not sold on "I/O". My first thoughts were "Interfacing" or "Slots and Ports"}

Perhaps also:
- Emulators - Discuss using emulators as part of a IIgs programming tool chain. [and prod Sheppy to reveal more debugger features in Sweet16]

Some forums will have a Site Feedback forum for bug reports and suggestions.

I tend to be a nit-picker, sometimes to my detriment, and often forget to praise the positive, so please take these as only suggestions. Everything looks great so far as-is. (and a test of the New Topic feature since this is in beta).

P.S. The edit post feature works.

I did pause when creating "Video" & "Audio" instead of graphics and sound. But the specific reason to use those words is that I was hoping that would intimate that we are talking about the Video Hardware and not just computer graphics or GS graphics or drawing with the Toolbox. In engineering terms, we typically think of the circuitry to produce and image is the "Video Generator". In fact, the video generator chip for the Apple IIgs is called the VGC or "Video Graphics Controller", so I guess you could go either way. This is similarly why I chose "Audio" over sound. I suppose I'm being pedantic. But it can change, let me think about this one today.

I also intentionally limited the number of forums because I was afraid that it would be overkill to create one for every atomic subject. Currently, we have more forums than we do users! Smile But I guess that's the point of building our own IIgs site is we can have as much or as little delineation as we need. So I agree, let's create a separate programming topic for "Peripherals & I/O" and one for "Emulators" (good idea!) I think we can leave the Networking discussion (whether ethernet or appletalk) under "Peripherals & I/O" for now, but who knows, with a run of new UtherNet II cards there could be a future need for a networking specific forum.

I did read about the VGC after making my suggestion. My Graphics and Sound suggestion is equally pedantic. I see that your logic is sound.
